"You said you don't believe in Marie?
I made art better when I was three!"
So he stood with a deep breathe and calmly said
"I don't believe you know what it means.
No, I don't believe you see what I see."
"It took a long time, took a long time for me to find
how to get beneath your meat and bones- I strip you down from head to toe.
And I end up at that band of light. Oh yes! I think I figured you out.
And now I wanna tell you how we are the same."
made up of some dead
machinery and so are you
with automatic hands
that do what they're supposed to do
"Girl I can't lie-
your town paid me
And girl, it's alright, yeah
if you hate me."
She said "Well now I see that band of light. I'm so proud to give it a home.
And now I don't feel so alone."
This album fucks as hard as dripping and magic but imo feels the most personal and emotional release of the three. It’s weird and frantic but hits
this really interesting balance.
